Our mission at Harrison Street Elementary School is to involve family, community, and school personnel in a team effort to prepare children to become life-long learners and contributing members of a changing society.

To this end we are committed to:  creating a safe, caring and comfortable environment,
recognizing and appreciating differences and commonalities, valuing academic excellence, empowering students to accept responsibility and challenges for scholastic achievement, providing a variety of instructional strategies in a well-defined curriculum, fostering self-esteem, encouraging students to assume responsibilities for their actions, and enhancing communication skills.
